Necessary

  • - gypsum plasterboard;
  • - polyurethane foam;
  • - roulette;
  • - sharp bottom for cutting drywall;
  • - putty;
  • - primer;
  • - dye.

Instructions

Step 1

Cover the window glass with a film so that it stays clean and you do not have to then scrape off the foam, putty and paint from it.

Step 2

Measure the right side of the window opening. Add 2cm to the value of its width and cut a blank from a drywall sheet according to the dimensions obtained. Install and fix so that there is a small gap between it and the wall. Press the far edge of the workpiece tightly to the corner of the window opening.

Step 3

Fill the space between the wall and the plasterboard with polyurethane foam. Start at the bottom corner and work your way up. Wait 10 minutes. When the foam dries up a little and thickens, press the workpiece against the wall. Level with a building level.

Step 4

Cut out a blank for the left side of the opening. Its width should also be 2 cm larger than the wall size. Install in the same way as on the right.

Step 5

In the same way, cut out the blank for the upper part of the window opening. Place it on the floor and cover with foam from a construction gun, then press firmly against the top wall.

Step 6

Remove the workpiece and place it on the stools so that it can be easily and conveniently taken at the right time. Smooth and spread the polyurethane foam on the drywall and the upper wall of the window opening.

Step 7

Apply a second layer of polyurethane foam to the drywall. Wait 10-15 minutes. Press with the whole plane to the upper wall of the window opening, fix with props. When the foam dries up a bit, remove the props and level the drywall horizontally using a building level.

Step 8

Fill the seams with foam. After 20-30 minutes, cut off the excess with a knife. Using a wood saw, cut off the protruding edges of the workpieces so that they are flush with the wall.

Step 9

Putty the surface of the drywall. After 12 hours, remove any unevenness with sandpaper. Prime. After drying, paint with a roller.
