Necessary

  • - sand, gravel, cement;
  • - glued laminated timber;
  • - timber for rafters and logs;
  • - floor board.

Instructions

Step 1

For the construction, a six-meter beam with a section of 100x150, 150x150, 150x200 and 200x200 is used. For external walls, a beam with a thickness of at least 150 mm should be taken; for internal walls and partitions, a section of 100x150 mm is sufficient. Glued laminated timber differs from usual in higher strength and durability, absence of cracks, dimensional accuracy. When using it, almost the same technologies and construction methods are used as for ordinary timber.

Step 2

The construction of a house begins with pouring the foundation. For log houses, characterized by high strength and fairly low weight, a shallow strip foundation is usually used. First, you need to dig a trench for it with a depth of 50-70 cm. The side walls are laid with waterproofing material. At the bottom of the trench, coarse sand is poured in a layer of 40-50 cm, on top of which a concrete foundation tape is poured.

Step 3

After the foundation has solidified, perform the lower strapping - that is, lay out a frame from a bar around the entire foundation, on which the walls will already be erected. The logs are immediately mounted, after which the subfloor is laid. Planks of the main floor are placed on top of it, at first it is better to put them with their bottom side up and not nail them. The final installation of the floor should be carried out after the walls, roof and wall finishing have been completed.

Step 4

When you finish laying the floor, start building the walls. First, the walls of the first floor and partitions are mounted; when using glued beams, it is not required to use insulation. This is due to the high precision of manufacturing, which excludes the formation of cracks. The beams are connected with dowels and dovetail mounting, which ensures high strength of the walls.

Step 5

Install ceiling beams and rafters, hem and insulate the ceiling. If a second floor is foreseen, fit internal partitions. Next, the roof lathing is mounted with a board, the roof is arranged. From below it is insulated and hemmed.

Step 6

One of the advantages of houses made of laminated veneer lumber is that they do not need to give time to shrink, so you can immediately start installing doors and windows. The last stage of work is wall decoration; a variety of materials can be used for it, from lining to drywall. After the main interior work is completed, install the final floor and proceed with the final finishing - painting, wallpapering, etc.
