Laminate is currently a fairly popular finishing material. It can be laid on almost any flat surface. The surface for laying the laminate must be dry, hard and smooth. The base can be concrete, linoleum and floorboards. It is not recommended to install laminate panels on carpets or in rooms with high humidity.

Instructions

Step 1

Quite often, people are involved in the installation of glueless laminate. Please note that when laying, the laminate will expand and contract. That is why leave a gap of 10 millimeters between the laminate and the wall. Be sure to use spacer wedges. Otherwise, the laminate will stand on end.

Step 2

Begin laying the laminate panels so that the light from the window falls parallel to the seams. The fact is that the seams can stand out if they are not laid correctly. The first panel should be laid in the left corner on the underlay. Note that the side with the short tongue should be against the wall. The wedges should be inserted some distance between the curb and the panels. Be sure to read the manufacturer's instructions in advance. The panel must be exactly at right angles to the wall.

Step 3

The second panel should be placed at the end of the first. Place the short tongue of the second panel in the groove of the first at an angle of 30 °. The board must be lowered, and then the mount must be snapped into place. All other panels must be laid in the same way. When you get to the end of the row, it is possible that the board will need to be trimmed.

Step 4

To measure the length of the last panel, it must be rotated 180 degrees. Then draw a line across the last panel along the edge of the previous one. Cut off the panel along the line. Then lay it down, thereby completing the first row. The panels should be laid in such a way that the drawing looks like brickwork. If the cut piece has a length of about 80 centimeters, then it can be laid at the beginning of the second row.

Step 5

Starting the second row, it is necessary to attach the next panel at an angle to the panel of the previous row. Next, you need to press forward and simultaneously press on the panel. A click should occur, indicating that the connection is correct. All subsequent rows are laid out similarly.
