Necessary

  • - set of screwdrivers;
  • - a set of hinge-pliers tools;
  • - a tool for cutting cables and cleaning insulation;
  • - meters and indicators;
  • - means of protection;
  • - power tools;
  • - other devices.

Instructions

Step 1

Of a number of tools for repairing electrical wiring, you will first need high-quality screwdrivers. The kit should contain three types of tip profiles: philips, pozidrive and slotted. You also need different sizes: PH 1, 3 and 4, PZ 2 and 3, slotted for 2, 4 and 7 millimeters. In most cases, it is easier to purchase a set consisting of a reversible screwdriver and several dozen attachments.

Step 2

From the pliers tool, you will need two sizes of pliers: with handles 130 mm and 210 mm. They must necessarily have resuzhie edges and grooves. Thin-nose pliers and round-nose pliers will be an excellent help in work; it is better to purchase two types of such a tool: with a straight mustache and a curved one. It is imperative to have side cutters in the set, preferably paired with end cutters.

Step 3

If you plan to work with a cable of large cross-sections, the purchase of sector shears or a cable cutter is inevitable. You will also need an insulation stripper, in the common people - "skinner". There are different types of strippers, but it is advisable to give preference to automatic strippers with a universal cutting edge. There is another type of tool that greatly facilitates the work with electrical wiring. This crimper is a tool for crimping tubular ferrules, which are used for crimping stranded conductors.

Step 4

When working with electrical networks, voltage indicators and measuring instruments are simply necessary. Probe screwdrivers should not be purchased, it is better to get two-pole indicators such as "POISK-3" or "CONTACT-5 EM". China-made digital multimeters can be used as measuring instruments. To search for wiring in the walls, the Dyatel-M device is perfect.

Step 5

Safety precautions should not be forgotten either. For eye protection, special plexiglass goggles should be used, preferably with a yellow filter. Ordinary cloth gloves can help prevent scratches and minor injuries. If work is being carried out on construction sites, be sure to use a hard hat to protect your head from falling debris or accidental impacts.

Step 6

Although there are special tools for cutting grooves in the walls, an ordinary grinder with a stone cutting wheel does an excellent job with this task. You will also need a hammer drill with a set of drills of different diameters, a hollow crown, a chisel-blade and other percussion nozzles.
