Installation of internal hidden wiring in buildings is carried out both during new construction and during repair work in the premises. Concealed wiring can be carried out in almost all buildings and premises. The choice of the method of laying hidden wiring depends on the type of finishing coatings for walls and ceilings.

Necessary

  • - cable with copper conductors;
  • - distribution (mounting) boxes;
  • - insulating tape;
  • - a cube of chalk;
  • - switch;
  • - power socket;
  • - lamp;
  • - solder and soldering iron;
  • - wall chaser;
  • - hammer drill with crown and chisel;
  • - alabaster.

Instructions

Step 1

Develop an electrical diagram and a plan for placing the cable and all the necessary elements (lamps, sockets, switches, junction boxes, etc.) in the room.

Step 2

Use a chalk cube to transfer the developed electrical circuit to the walls, ceiling, and, if necessary, to the floor. The markings should clearly show the place of cable passage and the location of switches, sockets, lamps, junction boxes. All elements of the circuit are connected by straight lines, rotations are performed only at right angles. It is better to start marking from the junction box. Place the cable lines 10-15 cm from the pipes and the ceiling. Place the switch at a height of 1.5 m to the right or left of the doorway, so as not to block it with the door leaf. Place the socket at a distance of 20-30 cm from the floor.

Step 3

In the places of installation of sockets, switches, junction boxes, using an electric drill with a crown of the right size, make recesses. The recesses should be of such dimensions that the mounting plastic or metal box installed in the recess is flush with the wall.

Step 4

Using a groove cutter or a perforator with a chisel, make grooves (indentations) 2-3 cm deep. The grooves should go along straight lines of the electrical circuit marking.

Step 5

Install plastic or metal mounting boxes in the recesses intended for sockets, switches and junction boxes, fixing them with alabaster mortar.

Step 6

Cut the cable to the required length and lay the cable in the grooves. Insert the ends of the cable into the installation and distribution boxes so that the cable sticks out of the box by 10-15 cm. To fasten the cable in the grooves, use metal clips and plastic clamps or fix the cable with alabaster. For cable routing in the ceiling, use the joints between the slabs or the voids in the floor slabs.

Step 7

Twist the cable strands in the junction boxes. Check if the cables are connected correctly, for this you can "ring" the electrical circuit. For reliability, solder and insulate the twisted cores with electrical tape.

Step 8

Connect the cable conductors to sockets, switches and install them in the junction boxes. Close the junction box with a lid. In the places where the luminaires are installed, attach the lamp holder. Turn on the electrical network and check the functionality of all circuit elements.

Step 9

Seal the grooves with plaster and level the surface.
