Necessary

Ammonium, potato starch, laundry soap, salt, gasoline, glycerin, soft cloth, brush

Instructions

Step 1

If the fabric is washable, try using simple laundry soap to wash the stain. If the fabric cannot be washed, first of all, remove the dust from the stain, place a stack of paper towels or a white cloth folded several times under it, and then cover it with potato starch.

Step 2

After a while, the starch is mostly absorbed into the material, remove the excess and clean the stain with a cloth or napkin. Apply a little more starch, wait and brush again, repeat the process until the stain fades and disappears. This method works best for greasy stains.

Step 3

Old, stubborn stains can be cleaned with potato flour. Dilute it to a mushy state and place it on the stain. Wait two to three hours, remove the dried mixture, treat the stain with gasoline. Wipe the spot with a piece of dried bread, wash thoroughly in warm water. If the stain does not completely disappear, place tracing paper soaked in gasoline under it, wipe the stain with a soft cloth or a brush from the outside. Rinse the item in warm water.

Step 4

You can sprinkle a little talcum powder on the stain, after putting the thing on a flat surface, cover it with tracing paper or parchment and go over it with an iron.

Step 5

You can try lime the stain with ammonia. Take three large spoons of ammonia and dilute half a small spoonful of common salt in them. Treat the stain with this solution until it disappears.

Step 6

Try using special cleaners, but if the stain is planted on silk fabric, you can soften the finished products with a little glycerin. Gasoline removes stains well from wool, heated bread - from velvet. It is best to remove stains of unknown origin from carpets with sawdust dipped in gasoline.
