The tradition of taking a steam bath in a Russian bathhouse has recently begun to revive, so more and more homeowners are striving to build a bathhouse on their own plot. But modern people strive for maximum comfort, therefore, the insulation of this room, including the floors, is important.

Necessary

  • - cranial bars;
  • - vapor barrier material;
  • - floorboards;
  • - extruded polystyrene;
  • - waterproofing material;
  • - extruded polystyrene foam;
  • - reinforcing mesh;
  • - cement-sand screed;
  • - perlite;
  • - cement.

Instructions

Step 1

If at the initial stage of the construction of the bath, the floors were not properly insulated, then you must first dismantle the wood trim. Nail the skull blocks to the bottom of the exposed beams and lay in the vapor barrier, then attach the rough floorboards. Next, you need to fill the entire space between the beams with heat-insulating material (extruded polystyrene), on top of which waterproofing is laid. The stage of warming ends with the installation of the upper floorboards.

Step 2

To insulate the concrete floor in the bath, it is necessary to lay a concrete slab on the foundation. Above, waterproofing will already be placed, which perfectly protects the foundation and floor from moisture. Next, lay the insulation in the form of foam or extruded polystyrene foam, which has proven itself well (suitable as insulation and fine expanded clay). Mount a reinforcing mesh on plastic or concrete supports. A thirty-millimeter layer of cement-sand screed is poured onto the insulation from above. Level the screed and lay the tiles on top.

Step 3

The most effective method of warming concrete floors in a bath is the laying of two layers of concrete, as well as a heat-insulating material in the form of perlite. Perlite is a fairly light expanded sand with low thermal conductivity. When working with this material, the room must be closed, as the perlite is scattered in the wind.

First, stir two buckets of perlite with one bucket of water, and only then add the cement. When the mixture is thoroughly mixed, add another bucket of perlite and half a liter of water. Stir the mixture until water begins to stand out from it. This is a sure sign that a high-quality floor insulation is ready. Spread a layer of the prepared mixture on the concrete slab and leave to dry. A week later, the second concrete layer is laid.
