Why do tomato leaves wither

One of the most common reasons why tomato leaves wilt is Fusarium wilt. This disease is especially common in the southern regions, and regardless of the presence of plants in greenhouses or greenhouses. In the northern regions, it mainly affects tomatoes in greenhouses.

The first signs of fusarium are yellowing of foliage, deformation of the petioles, then drying of the upper shoots, darkening of the fruits. To avoid fusarium wilting of tomatoes, you need to properly care for the plants, for example:

- hilling tomatoes on time, the first hilling should be done before the plant reaches a height of 15 centimeters;

- before planting, it is imperative to disinfect the soil with a solution of copper sulfate (100 grams of raw materials per 10 liters of water);

- to carry out the treatment with fungicidal preparations on time, etc.

Why do tomato leaves dry

A fairly common phenomenon is the drying of tomato leaves, the cause of which is late blight. Phytophthora occurs due to improper watering of plants (frequent), as well as temperature conditions. The disease is dangerous because it can destroy the entire crop in the shortest possible time.

It is difficult to fight late blight, but you can prevent this disease, for this you just need to carry out prevention: water the plants on time without flooding them, treat them with special preparations for late blight (it is best to use milk solutions and garlic infusions), feed that strengthen the immunity of plants (Yeast top dressing has worked well: 20 grams of raw material per 10 liters of water), ash (three tablespoons of ash under each plant before watering).
