When installing aluminum radiators, it is very important to correctly calculate the required number of sections, since the temperature in the room in winter will depend on this. If this is not done, then additional ones will have to be increased.

Instructions

Step 1

Make calculations that should proceed from the following: with a ceiling height of 2, 6 m, two sections of the radiator are needed to heat one square meter of living space. However, experts strongly advise to install radiators with a "stock" of sections. It is much easier to reduce heat than to compensate for its lack with additional sources.

Step 2

Remember: not all types of aluminum radiators can be equipped with additional sections. These include models made by extrusion (extrusion). The parts in it are connected to each other into a single structure by pressing, so it is no longer possible to build it up. In this case, the lack of sections will have to be replenished by installing an additional radiator, if there is room for it.

Step 3

Keep in mind that bimetallic heating radiators are created according to the sectional principle, made of low-carbon steel and covered with a high-quality aluminum alloy on top. All sections are interconnected by radiator nipples, and the tightness of the structure is ensured by special ring gaskets.

Step 4

Before starting the assembly, make sure that all prepared components are designed specifically for this radiator model. In order to build up an additional section on the radiator, first disconnect the heating supply pipes and unscrew the end radiator plugs from the side you need at the top and bottom.

Step 5

Then precisely align the additional link with the radiator, install the heat-resistant rubber O-rings and, using the special wrench, begin to carefully screw the radiator nipple into the aluminum manifold. The gripping depth must be at least four threads.

Step 6

After making sure of the strength of the structure, you can proceed to joining the next section. At the end of the assembly, replace the radiator plugs and connect, however, already with an offset, the heating supply pipes.
