A home workshop is a convenient and versatile solution for those who are constantly engaged in manual work and make various things. It is most convenient for the master to have a separate room in which all work will be carried out, and not to transfer building materials to the living quarters of the house. If possible, organize a workshop in a separate annexe not far from a private house, on a flat area.

Instructions

Step 1

Mark out the construction site with pegs and a line. On the resulting site, prepare the ground for laying the foundation - dig a shallow pit, from 80-90 cm (in the case of clay soil) to 60-70 cm (in the case of sandy soil). Mix concrete with rubble and broken brick and fill the foundation.

Step 2

After the foundation is completely ready, start laying the multi-layer floor. For the first layer, use a layer of tamped sand 10-15 cm thick. Lay the roofing board on the compacted sand, and on the roofing board - a flooring of wooden boards, or a layer of concrete. A concrete floor is less warm than a plank floor, but more versatile and durable.

Step 3

Build the walls of the workshop from bricks, installing additional supporting pillars (corner and intermediate) on the inside of the walls. Subsequently, these thick timber posts can be used as a base for wall shelving where you can store tools and materials.

Step 4

After installing the walls with door and window openings, begin to erect a roof, fixing several beams to the ceiling, and sheathe the beams with boards from the outside and from the inside.

Step 5

Cover the outside of the roof with tar paper or roofing felt. After that, you will only have to carry out the external and internal decoration of the workshop, install doors and windows, and then bring in all the equipment, tools, building materials you need for work, conduct lighting and electricity.
