In a small one-room apartment, even a small family of three is already getting cramped. The child needs more space for games, it becomes necessary to allocate a separate sleeping place for him, in order to thereby save part of the space. To solve this problem, build a loft bed for your child. And let it be not just a bed, but also a miniature sports complex. To do this, it can be attached directly to the bed.

Necessary

  • - two boards with a section of 40x140 mm and a length of 247 cm each;
  • - a board with a section of 20x140 mm and a length of 171 cm;
  • - a board with a section of 20x90 mm and a length of 171 cm;
  • - two bars with a section of 40x40 mm and a length of 88 cm each;
  • - two bars with a section of 40x60 mm and a length of 157 cm each;
  • - two bars with a section of 40x60 mm and a length of 80 cm each;
  • - plywood sheet with dimensions 88x150 cm;
  • - eight shovel cuttings;
  • - joiner's glue (for example, "Moment joiner");
  • - drills, dowels and screws.

Instructions

Step 1

In 40x140 mm boards, make grooves 2.5 cm deep for the beams at a distance of 25 cm from the center of each using a special drill. The diameter of the holes should ideally be equal to the diameter of the cuttings, but since it is extremely problematic to find such a large drill, you can cut the cuttings with a sharp knife to the desired diameter.

Step 2

When you are done with the grooves and cuttings, attach one board to the wall, coat the groove in it with wood glue and insert the cuttings.

Step 3

Now put the second board vertically, similarly coat the grooves with glue and move, aligning the crossbars with the grooves. When the last crossbar is in place, tap well against each of them to secure them in place.

Step 4

Now that all the rungs are in place, secure the second plank to the ceiling and floor. The ladder is now ready.

Step 5

Next, fix the bars at the desired height around the perimeter of the future bed. Those that go along the wall, attach directly to it. Put a sheet of plywood on top, press it down with beams and secure with self-tapping screws.

Step 6

Cover all the ends of the bars with a 20x140 mm board. Attach the last board at a convenient height for you. The main thing here is to make the gap between the boards small enough so that the child's head cannot get there.

Step 7

The bed is almost ready. Now sand it in the right places with fine sandpaper so that the child does not get hurt. In the last step, the bed can be painted and varnished.
