It is necessary

  • mixing container;
  • clay;
  • cement;
  • sand;
  • water;
  • improvised tools.

Instructions

Step 1

Turning a shovel in a container with a solution in an attempt to mix it, few self-taught builders guess that all components need to be mixed in a ratio of 1: 3. As a rule, the mortar is made from sand with the addition of binders. This is usually cement. First, sand must be poured into the container, then a special material. Mix everything thoroughly, then pour water and mix again.

Step 2

If we go back to the proportions, then the number 1 denotes binders (cement, clay, lime), and 3 denotes parts of sand. That is, for example, for one bucket of cement, you need to take three buckets of sand. And only then adjust the density / liquid of the resulting solution with water.

Step 3

Another popular type of mortar is clay. It is usually used for laying stoves. The process of preparing this type of solution begins with the preparation of the clay. It should be clean, free of various impurities such as sand, stones, leaves, twigs, etc. You only need to take plastic clay, you can check it by rolling it in your hand like plasticine.

Step 4

Then you need to soak the clay. Having filled in with water, it is necessary to stir it regularly to end up with a thick mass. In parallel with this, gravel sand is being prepared. The mixture is sifted through a sieve, and the resulting mixture will be used to prepare the solution.

Step 5

Next, you need to finally prepare the clay for mixing. To do this, pour it through a sieve so that all large parts remain on top, and mix with water. After that, the clay is poured into a special container up to a certain mark - about a quarter of the container. Then sand is poured into it - in small portions, stirring constantly.
