The basis of any structure is a solid foundation. In order for the house to stand as long as possible and without fear of subsidence or destruction, the process of building the foundation should be approached with great responsibility. The main component of a solid foundation is concrete, and therefore its preparation should be done as efficiently as possible.

It is necessary

  • - concrete mixer for 200 liters;
  • - shovel "heart";
  • - galvanized buckets;
  • - cement 45 kg;
  • - river sand 95 kg;
  • - gravel (crushed stone) 220 kg;
  • - water 26 liters.

Instructions

Step 1

Place the concrete mixer right next to the foundation formwork. For easy filling, place the materials needed to prepare one portion next to the concrete mixer.

Step 2

Make sure that the sand for the preparation of concrete is dry, otherwise check the condition of the cement mortar. If it turns out to be quite liquid, even when the rest of the water has not yet been added, then do not fill it. The weight of wet sand is much higher, so take this into account when dosing materials.

Step 3

Check the cement for dryness and quality. To do this, it is enough to squeeze the cement in your hand. If he wakes up freely through his fingers, then his quality is satisfactory. If it is compressed into a lump or there are already lumps and cement stones in its volume, then it cannot be used to prepare concrete.

Step 4

Pour 2/3 of the required volume of water into the concrete mixer. Water for the preparation of concrete is taken only clean, drinking.

Step 5

Add cement and sand gradually, add the rest of the water as you mix. If the concrete solution is prepared by hand, without using a concrete mixer, mix the sand with cement beforehand in a dry state. This makes it much easier and faster to manually achieve the homogeneity of the cement slurry.

Step 6

Add gravel or crushed stone after the grout is smooth. Only measure gravel with a scale, at least the first time. Due to the heterogeneity and different shapes of gravel in the same volume, for example a bucket, there may be a different weight of the material.

Step 7

Stir the concrete for about 5 minutes so that the entire volume of gravel is covered with cement mortar. Within half an hour after preparation, concrete must be poured into the formwork until the moment when the components begin to snap off and delaminate.
