If you want to carry out measures for pouring the floor yourself, prepare a metal brush, a cuvette and a roller, a two-meter long rail, a scraper and a brush. You will also need a drill, a mixing nozzle, a wide spatula, and a primer.

Remove the old covering, plinth from the floor. Clean the surface with a brush or grind. Cracks must be widened with a triangular scraper. Check if the floor is even - for this, a rule with a level is applied to it. The gaps between the floor and the batten should not be more than 2 mm.

Remove the plaster from the walls below. All gaps and cracks in the floor should be repaired with a mortar containing glue or resin.

Before applying the primary primer, the floor should be leveled using a special solution prepared from one part of cement and 2.5 parts of sand. If it is necessary to preserve some of the technological slots, fence them off with airtight fences. The primer should be applied to the substrate with a roller or brush.

If the surface is too dry, porous, it will have to be primed in several layers, drying each of them well. In case of high humidity in the room, a waterproof mixture should be used for the first layer of primer.

Prepare floor mortar according to package directions. It will have to be poured manually, in strips parallel to the wall. A spatula or trowel is used to distribute the solution. Start work from the wall that is located farthest from the exit. Pouring should be done without interruption in order to avoid drops.

After leveling, the mortar should be rolled with a needle roller to remove trapped air. Until completely dry, the floor must be protected from sunlight, drafts, sudden temperature changes. After a day, small loads on the floor are permissible, but it will harden well only after a couple of days. It is best to wait a week to install any type of flooring.
