The fairly low price, combined with the ease of installation and the ability to bring to life the most daring design fantasies, makes drywall one of the most popular materials for the ceiling. Along with many advantages, a plasterboard ceiling has its drawbacks. If you have purchased a heavy chandelier, you will not be able to attach it to a hook directly to the plasterboard ceiling. To fix it, you must use the main, concrete floor.
It is necessary
threaded stud 8-10 mm in diameter, driven anchor, eye nut, drill, hammer, wrench, indicator screwdriver, electrical tape
Instructions
Step 1
Drill a hole in the drywall and then in the concrete ceiling. In this case, it is necessary to make sure that the hole does not fall into the cavity of the slab. The hole depth should be 8-10 cm.
Step 2
Screw the anchor onto the stud and install into the hole. Achieve a firm hold on the anchor by tapping lightly on it.
Step 3
Screw two nuts onto the stud and tighten it all the way using a wrench.
Step 4
Unscrew the nuts from the stud and replace them with an eye nut
Step 5
Determine phase and zero on the ceiling. If there are multiple wires on the ceiling, take an indicator screwdriver and test each one in turn. The wires, when touched, the indicator screwdriver will light up - phase. The other wire, respectively, is "zero".
Step 6
Determine the phase and "zero" on the chandelier. The phase wire on the chandelier is usually marked in black. If this is not the case (for example, if the chandelier is made in China), you will have to check all the wires. For safety, it is recommended to take an extension cord with a switch. Connect two wires to the mains one by one (just plug into the extension cord). The wire without which the chandelier does not light up is zero.
Step 7
Connect the chandelier. Connect the zero on the chandelier to the zero on the ceiling. Connect phase to phase. If the number of phase wires on the chandelier does not match the number of phase wires on the ceiling, you must branch the phase wire.
Step 8
Turn on the electricity and make sure everything works.
