Plexiglas is a plastic that has been in production for over seventy years. It is a translucent or light-diffusing transparent synthetic material that hardly changes color when exposed to sunlight. Due to its wear resistance and strength, it finds application in various fields.

It is necessary

  • - warm water;
  • - mild detergent;
  • - paste GOI;
  • - gasoline or kerosene.

Instructions

Step 1

Use warm water and a mild detergent to clean the plexiglass surface. If the surface is simply dirty, then simply wipe the plastic with a cotton swab or a soft natural cloth dipped in warm water. At the same time, do not take synthetic material for cleaning, as the surface may become dull after too much wiping.

Step 2

For cleaning plexiglass, it is strictly forbidden to use substances containing abrasive particles. As they can scratch it, which will lead to the loss of the original transparency. Gently place heavily soiled organic glass in a bathtub and wash thoroughly with a cloth under running warm water. Then wipe dry with a soft cloth. If the glass is left to dry simply in the air, then after drying there will be stains on the surface.

Step 3

It should be borne in mind that dry plexiglass is charged with static electricity due to friction with a cloth. And on such a surface, dust sticks more strongly, which, in turn, leads to the appearance of micro-scratches, giving the glass a matte finish. Removal of static charge from organic glass sheets is carried out by blowing the surface with ionized air using a special device.

Step 4

It is best to wipe organic glass using a special polishing paste, the so-called GOI paste. Apply it in a thin and thin layer on the glass, then sand it in a circular motion with a dry and clean soft cloth. This will help to polish it and get rid of micro cracks on the surface.

Step 5

If there are greasy or oily stains on the glass surface, degrease them with kerosene or gasoline.
