Step 1
Prepare the surface before applying the varnish. Sand with fine sandpaper, wipe and dry.

Then apply a coat of primer. There are special water-based primers, both colorless and tinted. Coating with a primer reduces varnish consumption and makes the surface smoother.
Step 3
After the primer is completely dry, apply a coat of varnish. The coating should be done in two or three layers. Apply each next layer after the previous one has completely dried.
Step 4
Glossy lacquer makes all irregularities visible on the wooden surface. Matt varnish - allows you to hide them.
Step 5
Water-based varnish is suitable for application to previously painted surfaces.
Step 6
Apply the varnish with a roller or brush in a thin layer to avoid smudges and smudges. You can also use a spray bottle.
Step 7
If you want to varnish a new resinous tree, first cover it with 2-3 layers of wood stain, and only then varnish.
Step 8
Previously painted or varnished surface, sand well with sandpaper until the old coating is completely removed. Then rinse and dry. Cover with 2-3 coats of primer or stain and proceed with varnishing.
Step 9
For tinting the surface, you can use a tinted impregnation and then a colorless varnish. Or you can use a tinted varnish with 5% impregnation added. The impregnation must be water-based.
