In order for it to serve faithfully for many more years, it needs to be cleaned. The choice of cleaning method depends on the material from which the pan is made.

Step 1

Determine what material your pan is made of. It can be a thick cast-iron pot, thin aluminum, enamelled, non-stick teflon-coated frying pan, bright copper. Each pan has a different cleaning method.

Prepare a chemical solution to clean your aluminum skillet. To do this, take a bar of laundry soap, grate it on a coarse grater, mix with a handful of soda ash and pour in 2-3 bottles of stationery glue. The latter is added so that a protective layer forms on the pan.

Find a voluminous container, add the resulting mixture there and fill it with water. Dip the pan completely in there.

Step 4

Boil a skillet over low heat for 1.5-2 hours. Take out, let it cool. Rub with a sponge. All carbon deposits will come off with a little mechanical force.

Prepare a copper pan cleaning solution. Mix water, ammonia and chalk in a 6: 3: 1 ratio. Apply with a sponge to the surface of the pan. Leave to dry. Rub until shiny with a dry cloth.
