When boiling hard water on the inside of the kettle, sooner or later, a white lime deposit, popularly called scale, may appear. Over time, its layer becomes thicker, which subsequently leads to a breakdown of the household appliance. To prevent this, it is necessary to correctly, and most importantly, regularly clean the kettle.

It is necessary

  • - lemon acid;
  • - clean sponge;
  • - powder "Pemos";
  • - knife;
  • - 9% vinegar;
  • - special agent "Antinakipin";
  • - lemon

Instructions

Step 1

Take 1-2 sachets of citric acid, put them in a kettle of cold water and boil. Let stand for a while, then drain and rinse the kettle. Pour clean water into it, boil it again and pour it out. It is recommended to carry out such cleaning at least once every several weeks. The amount of citric acid used depends on the amount and thickness of the scale.

Step 2

Sprinkle Pemos Powder on a clean sponge and rub thoroughly on the areas of the teapot where the scale is most thick. If the sponge doesn't work, use a knife, but never touch the iron parts. At the end of the procedure, rinse the kettle with cold water. After that, pour water and 100 ml of 9% vinegar into it, leave for 10 minutes until the scale leaves. Drain the water with vinegar, rinse the kettle and, pouring clean water into it, boil. After using the vinegar, it is better to boil the kettle 2 times. This method is suitable for non-electric kettles.

Step 3

Use a special agent "Anti-scale", it can be in the form of a liquid or powder. Just mix it with water, pour it into a kettle and boil it. This remedy is nothing more than soda ash, which is often used to soften hard water.

Step 4

Lemon is another good remedy for descaling your kettle. Cut it into thin slices, put them in a kettle, add a little water and boil. It is better to do this several times until the scale is completely removed. Be sure to let the kettle cool down between boils, as otherwise it may break.

Step 5

You can wash off the scale with the peel of pears and apples. Place it in a kettle, fill it with water and boil it. As a result, the scale will disappear and the kettle will return to its original color.
