Gilding looks very nice in any apartment. It is pleasant to wake up every morning to the ringing of a beautiful alarm clock with a gilded body, to eat under the dim light of a candle standing in a carved gilded candlestick. Finally, it's nice to wear an expensive watch with a gold-plated strap. However, such beauty requires careful treatment and periodic cleaning.

Alcohol will enhance the shine of the gilding, help to easily clean the item. In addition, it is a good antistatic agent. After rinsing the gilded items in clean water, wipe them dry.

Step 5

Gilded bronze can be cleaned with the same product, or you can wipe it with a soft brush soaked in water, then apply a composition of 60 parts of water, 15 parts of nitric acid and 2 parts of alum with a soft brush. Then leave the item to dry without rubbing.
