How to plant a steeple

This native of warm countries requires a lot of light, so it is better to plant a steep tree in a sunny meadow, in fertile soil. It will bloom in a semi-shaded place, and will not bloom at all in the shade.

It is worth considering that the most delicate varieties are planted only by dividing the bush so that they retain all the signs, the rest can be grown from seeds. The soil for the steep needs light and loose, so it is better to drain it on a heavy one.

Seed planting is done in several ways:

  • in the fall into the ground so that strong shoots sprout in the spring. The method is not very reliable, but it is used
  • in early spring, they are planted in pots for seedlings, kept in a warm and bright place, and watered well. On warm days, they are planted in place.

And in fact, and in another case, the bristlecone will bloom only after several years.

Breeding planting

The first method is with seedlings, and this is done in the spring. Prepare holes suitable for the size of the roots with a distance of 70-80 cm, place seedlings in them, cover them with earth, water well and mulch on top.

The second way is by dividing the root. In the fall, use a shovel to chop the root, and place it in the holes as it is, water and compact. Cover with bottles, shade. Land in the spring.

The third way - with green cuttings, also in the fall. Choose a shoot with three buds, place it halfway into the ground, covering it with a bottle on top. It will take root by spring, and can be planted in a permanent place.

How to care for a sap

Water abundantly, feed it well and in time with mineral fertilizers, ash or compost, depending on the soil, cut it off for the winter, leaving 10 cm of the stem. In the spring, the steeple will bloom even more magnificently.
