Choose the shape of the maze. It can be square, round or triangular. The choice should be influenced by the shape of your garden.

Draw a rough plan of the garden, think over where the entrances to the labyrinth will be located, of which there may be several (although you can completely limit yourself to one). In the middle of the maze, triple the composition center. This is a small platform that rises above the entire composition. It can be a small fountain surrounded by flower beds and benches, or an evergreen, spruce, pine or thuja. You can also arrange a tall flower bed with annual plants.

The maze can be made from both plants and stones. Lay out the stone labyrinth from tiles or flat stones, they can be laid flat or dug into the soil with their end side.

Plant labyrinths are much more diverse. They can be made from almost any plant. The most budgetary option is from annual flowers. Look for flowers that have a bushy bush and bloom throughout the period. It can be snapdragon, coleus, ageratum, celosia. Labyrinths made of ornamental cabbage or kochia (summer cypress) look very original.

If you are confident in your choice, plant perennial flowers: stonecrops, loosestrife, irises, liatris and many others. Pick up perennial flowers, the flowering of which replaces each other, then your labyrinth will be decorative all season. However, do not plant too many different species so that the garden is not too variegated. This makes it difficult to perceive its outline.

Labyrinths are created from coniferous plants, which are decorative all year round. Such gardens of deciduous shrubs are very beautiful: spirea, vesicle, deren. However, such a garden also has its drawbacks, the bushes must be trimmed periodically, giving them the correct geometric shape.

After planting the plants, arrange the paths. Dig a trench 25 centimeters deep. Make a border along the paths. Fill the trench with sand, tamp, then add rubble. Lay the chosen covering on top of it.

It is very pleasant to walk along the paths of lawn grass. Make a border of special tape, tamp the soil and sow the grass. Mow it periodically with a trimmer.
