It is necessary

  • - roulette;
  • - pencil;
  • - hacksaw or power saw;
  • - tape;
  • - Circular Saw;
  • - file;
  • - fasteners;
  • - sanding paper;
  • - oil for wood.

Instructions

Step 1

First, place the countertop on the floor cabinets. Leave a small gap at the back and side walls. If you are installing in an L-type kitchen, then tightly connect the 2 sections to each other. It is not recommended to make a corner connection. Then measure the countertop from one end of the base cabinet. At the same time, remember about the space for the cover plate and the protrusion of 2 cm.

Step 2

Use a pencil to mark. If you will be using a hacksaw, the mark should be on the face of the countertop. If a power saw will be used for work, then make the markings on the lower side. Use a fine-toothed saw when cutting by hand. To avoid chipping, it is necessary to stick the tape over the cutting area. You can also use a circular saw for the same business. Turn the table top over to the left side down and install a straight edge. Be sure to file the cut edge with a file.

Step 3

After installing the countertop, mark the location for the base cabinet. The markings are best done on the bottom of the countertop. In this case, it will be possible to cut a hole for the sink without any problems. Turn the sink over and place it on the underside of the countertop. Circle it with a pencil. Create additional markings by following the instructions supplied with the sink.

Step 4

The table top is fixed with a special fastener. Place it in the prepared place. Leave a 0.5 cm gap. Then mark the locations for the fasteners. They must be at equal distances. Drill holes. Anchor the countertop well.

Step 5

It must also be properly prepared for the first use. It is recommended to grind the surface with a fine-grained abrasive paper. Then treat the countertop with a wood-based oil.
