Grease stains can appear on your favorite clothes, on a tablecloth, on a towel, etc. After a regular wash, it turns out that the stains remained in their place, despite the fact that expensive powder from well-known manufacturers was used. Re-washing a thing is completely useless. First, you need to treat the stain to be sure that the next wash will not be in vain. There are several products that can be used to remove greasy stains from fabrics.

  • - gasoline;
  • - brush;
  • - cotton napkins;
  • - blotting paper;
  • - cotton pads.

Instructions

Step 1

Do not overstretch to remove the stain. The fresher the greasy stain is, the easier it is to get rid of. To remove the stain, pour a glass of water into a bowl, add 3 teaspoons of rubbing alcohol and one teaspoon of detergent. Stir the solution well, dampen the cloth, wipe the stain on both sides, front and back. Then place absorbent paper on both sides of the fabric and iron with an iron. This method is most suitable if the product cannot be washed.

Step 2

Second way. Sprinkle tooth powder or crushed chalk on the grease stain. Change the poured cleaner as the chalk or powder becomes damp due to the absorbed grease.

Step 3

Third way. Pour some dish detergent of any kind on the grease stain. Spread it evenly over the stain. Leave the product overnight. Wash as usual in the morning. The method works very well and all greasy stains are remarkably removed from products that can be washed.

Step 4

Gasoline also helps effectively. Dampen a cotton ball with gasoline, wipe the stain on the fabric on both sides. Wash the product as usual. Sometimes the smell of gasoline remains on the fabric after washing and the product has to be washed one more time.

Step 5

For items that cannot be washed, you can use talcum powder or potato flour. Place a cloth or absorbent paper under the stain and sprinkle a thick layer of flour or talcum powder. Leave the product for 5-6 hours, clean everything with a brush. If the stain remains, repeat the process.

Step 6

Wipe old grease stains with a mixture of 1 tablespoon of ammonia, 1 tablespoon of glycerin and 1 tablespoon of water. Leave it on for 2-3 hours. Rinse the stain with water.

Step 7

Common table salt helps to cope with greasy stains very well. Sprinkle the salt thickly over the stain, let it sit for 1-2 hours, scrub everything off with a brush and repeat if necessary.

Step 8

If you have just planted a stain, try removing it with an iron. Place absorbent paper or a layer of cotton towels on both sides of the fabric, iron the stain. The fat will be absorbed into tissues or paper.

Step 9

If the stained product cannot be washed, and after using the above products there are traces, dampen the cloth with rubbing alcohol and wipe the cloth on both sides.
