Instructions

Step 1

The warmest temperature on the refrigerator door. It is customary to store butter and soft cheeses here. Usually there is a special compartment for them, it even closes so that these products do not absorb foreign odors. Butter does not require a very low temperature for storage, and it is better to spread it on bread when it is not frozen. You can also place drinks, sauces and eggs on the door. Perishable foodstuffs should not be stacked here, for example, milk will quickly turn sour.

Step 2

There are special compartments in the refrigerator for vegetables and fruits. Usually they are located in the lower part, where the optimal temperature is for vegetables. When storing greens, carrots and cabbage there, do not take them out of the store packaging, so they will better maintain their appearance. Try not to place fruits and vegetables nearby, this contributes to rapid decay. Place them in different cabinets, and if this is not possible, then it is better to put apples, peaches and oranges on the middle shelf.

Step 3

Finished products must be placed where the temperature is average, which means that they are not suitable for the highest and not the lowest shelves. But you need to place each dish in a container or close it tightly with a lid. It is better to cover plates with dishes with cling film, so the surface will not wind up and foreign odors will not spoil the taste. It is better not to put already cooked items and raw foods next to each other, this can cause the transfer of various bacteria.

Step 4

Meat and fish are usually placed on the bottom shelf, if suddenly these products leak, which sometimes happens, they will not stain all surfaces. Fresh protein products can stay in this compartment for no more than 2 days, but if the storage time is planned for longer, it is better to put them in the freezer. Leaving meat and fish nearby is not recommended, especially if they are not hermetically sealed, try to place these things in different corners.

Step 5

It is not advised to place canned food in the refrigerator. They are not too demanding on the storage temperature, so they can be located in an ordinary cabinet. If you put them inside, they will interfere with air circulation, which will not have a good effect on the freshness of other things. But open jars can be kept at a temperature of + 4-8 ° C only for a day, then you do not need to eat them. To extend the period up to 2 days, transfer the contents to a plate or food container, close with a tight lid.

Step 6

Milk loves the cold, so the top shelf is fine. Cooked meat will also feel good there. But smoked products or cheeses are best placed on the middle shelf. There are special bags that prevent the smell from spreading, but at the same time the product does not stale, the use of such devices makes storage convenient and practical.
