The carpet is the epicenter of hair and loose pet hair in your apartment. Fortunately, thanks to some simple advice, this big everyday problem can be easily solved.

Instructions

Step 1

If your hair is long, you can easily pick it up with a regular vacuum cleaner. It will be more difficult with short and thin hairs - they are more strongly woven into the pile of the carpet. Here you have to work a little.

Step 2

Sweep the carpet with a damp broom. This procedure will remove only part of the hair, but any remaining hairs will rise up and can be collected with a vacuum cleaner.

Step 3

Clean the carpet with a damp brush or rag. Start at one of the edges and work your way up along its entire length. Rinse the cloth with clean water as it gets dirty. Don't forget to change the water. This cleaning method is quite painstaking and will take some time. But this way you will be able to qualitatively clean the carpet of hair, even in the most advanced cases.

Step 4

Mix 200 ml of fabric softener with a glass of water. Using a spray bottle, spread the solution evenly over the carpet. This will help soften the hairs. After that, it will be enough just to vacuum the coating.

Step 5

Regular baking soda can also help remove hair from the carpet. Spread it over the surface and vacuum thoroughly.

Step 6

Buy a dog and cat grooming mitt from a pet store. One of the sides of such a product is rubberized, which is why damp wool easily sticks to it.

Step 7

You can also use duct tape, such as duct tape or a cleaning roller, to remove hair from the carpet. Wrap your hand with tape (sticky side out), press it to the surface. Replace the tape as it becomes dirty. It will be enough to just roll over the carpet with a sticky roller - it will collect all the debris from it.

Step 8

No matter how trite it may sound, timely systematic vacuuming is the main recipe for keeping the carpet clean. After all, it is much easier to remove single hairs that are not trampled into the coating than to clean off a whole "fur outfit".
