Building a house from cinder blocks is economically profitable - the walls are erected quickly, but this material has one drawback, it is very susceptible to dampness, especially if it is not sufficiently insulated. The house freezes from dampness, and when thawing, the cinder blocks begin to crumble. Therefore, so that the housing does not have to be repaired for a long time, the walls do not crumble or freeze, it must be properly insulated.

Step 1

Insulation is carried out using a technology that will depend on how long ago the house was built. If the house is just being built, then calculate the foundation so that there is enough space for covering with heat-insulating materials and for subsequent finishing. If the foundation is made wide enough, then the most optimal insulation option would be finishing with thick sheets of mineral wool, and on top of it with finishing bricks.

Step 2

If the house was built a long time ago and the walls began to crumble from dampness, and the foundation was made narrow, the insulation is done a little differently. First, make a mortar and completely putty the places that crumbled. Buy foam with a density of 25 kg / cu. m and a thickness of 60-70 mm, attach it to a long dowel.

Step 3

Next, insulate at your discretion. There are two options - it is to apply reinforced mesh and plaster, which is more reliable and gives additional insulation, or to close everything with siding. Since the foundation does not allow brickwork, there are no more options.

Step 4

Inside the house, remove the drywall, cover the walls with vapor barrier material, as well as the ceiling inside and outside. Screw drywall onto the vapor barrier material and finish as desired.

Step 5

Cover the ceiling from the outside not only with vapor barrier material, but also with heat insulation material. You can choose mineral wool or expanded polystyrene.

Step 6

Additionally insulate the basement. Attach the vapor barrier material to the outer part of the floor, cover all the walls of the basement with vapor barrier and on top of it, with a thin layer of mineral wool. Fasten all materials with wooden or plastic slats, which are sold in the same section of the building supermarket, which sells insulation and vapor barrier materials.

Step 7

A house insulated in this way will not damp, freeze, and therefore collapse, and significant money will be saved annually on heating, so that the costs associated with insulation will pay off very quickly.
