Individual developers often face the question of how to drill a water well. Of course, this problem has nothing to do with the residents of elite cottage settlements, since there the water supply is usually carried out in an industrial way. But a private trader may have to put his own hands on this matter.

It is necessary

Metal pipes of different diameters, tripod, plumb line

Instructions

Step 1

The most economical way to drill a water well is to do it manually. For this you need metal pipes. Half-inch will be thin, and inch will be slightly larger than necessary. So choose three-quarter-inch pipes.

Step 2

Since the hole will be drilled vertically, you will need a metal tripod. The tripod ring will keep the drill from tilting. Set up the tripod at the location chosen for drilling the well. Using a plumb line, determine the exact center at which the piercing will take place.

Step 3

The working body of your installation will be a drill. It is best to make it from a piece of pipe with a diameter of at least 100 mm. If the diameter is larger, this is not a problem. So a diameter of 120 mm in the future will allow the use of most models of submersible pumps.

Step 4

It is necessary to make cuts in the pipe for cutting the soil, as well as vertical slots, which will be needed for the convenience of cleaning the drill. On the other hand, the pipe must have a cover and a squeegee for attaching extension pipes. The drill is ready to go.

Step 5

Sod drilling is done with a short collar. In very dry soil, pre-prepared water should be periodically poured into the drilling site. After passing through the sod layer, replace the collar with a long pipe. The top of it should go through the tripod ring.

Step 6

As the drill moves deeper, rearrange the handles. Clean dry soil from the drill from time to time. When the soil starts to squelch, it means that water has appeared in the well.

Step 7

Now the casing pipe with a diameter of 100 mm should be inserted into the well. The pipe wall must be thick enough.

Step 8

The well is ready. Lower the submersible pump into it and start the step-by-step process of its "buildup". It is done like this: turn on the pump, release water, then liquid clay comes - turn off the pump. Gradually, a kind of water "flask" forms around the pump.

Step 9

Drilling a well usually takes several hours. Preparation of the instrument will take a significant part of your time.
