Apartment meters occupy a very important place in the modern world. Everyone knows that by installing this metering device for water or electricity consumption, you can significantly save on utility bills. However, not everyone knows how to correctly take readings from meters.

It is necessary

  • In order to take readings from metering devices for resource consumption, you will need:
  • - a pen or pencil;
  • -paper.

Instructions

Step 1

So, for example, if the last digit on the right of the electricity meter is not highlighted in any way (for example, separated by a comma or bordered in color), then the indicators are written out entirely in kilowatt-hours. If the last figure is highlighted in any way, then it reflects even tenths of kilowatt-hours. And in this case, when taking meter readings, this figure is not written off. To pay for electricity every month correctly, you need to keep records, i.e. record the indicators of the last month, and then the next. From the resulting value, it is necessary to subtract the one that remained in the last month, and then the amount of electricity that was consumed in the current period will be obtained.

Step 2

With the help of a water meter, you can even determine if there are any leaks in the apartment. And it's easy to do. When the taps in the apartment are closed, the counter needle must remain stationary. Taking readings from a water meter is also quite simple.

Step 3

If the meter has a digital drum sensor, then taking readings from it is quite a simple matter. You just need to write down the numbers that appear in the slot of the drum. And then, just as in the case of the electricity meter, you need to subtract the resulting indicators from the past. This will be the water consumption for a certain period of time.

Step 4

If a water meter with a dial, then you need to carefully study its readings. The large arrow on it denotes tenths of a cubic meter (one tenth equals 100 liters). And the little one is "responsible" for whole cubic meters (one cubic meter is equal to 1000 liters). According to the inscriptions on the dial, these shares are calculated.
