It is necessary

  • - the picture from which the drawing will be done
  • - pencil
  • - ruler
  • - acrylic primer
  • - acrylic paints
  • - brushes
  • - purchased template
  • - tracing paper or plastic for a homemade template
  • - sharp knife

Instructions

Step 1

Find a drawing or ornament that you want to see on your wall. If you know how to draw, then transferring the drawing to the wall will not be difficult for you, just looking at the picture. Otherwise, don't be discouraged, but pick up a ruler and pencil. Divide the drawing into squares, draw the same number of squares on the prepared wall.

Step 2

Take a close look at the wall you plan to paint on. If the wall is covered with plaster, then first prime it with acrylic primer so that your paints adhere well to the wall surface. A good option if the wall already has paintable wallpaper. They do not need to be covered with anything, but you can draw right away.

Step 3

Take a pencil in your hands and, referring to the picture, draw in the squares. The filling of each square on the wall should correspond to each square in the picture. This way, your entire drawing will be transferred to the wall.

Step 4

Use acrylic paints to color in the drawing. They are water-based, odorless and ideal for indoor use. Dilute acrylic paints with water to the desired thickness. The consistency of paints for painting on the wall should be medium. Liquid paints can leak and thick paints are difficult to smudge. Acrylic paints mix well with each other, you will not have problems with shades. After drying, the paints do not need to be fixed with anything, they are not erased.

Step 5

Use templates for small drawings. You can cut the template yourself or buy it from the store. When cutting a homemade template, use tracing paper or thin plastic to prevent the template from getting wet when it comes into contact with paint. Fix the template to the wall with masking tape. Apply the drawing with a sponge, with which to remove excess paint. If the sponge is too wet, paint can flow under the template and ruin the drawing.
