During the repair, imitation of timber is increasingly being used to decorate the walls. Imitation of a bar is the same lining, in which the side edges are milled with a straight cutter at an angle of 35-45 degrees from the plane of the board. The timber imitation board, in contrast to the lining, is mounted in a horizontal plane. It is not difficult to quickly and efficiently fix the imitation of the timber.

It is necessary

  • - wooden mounting plate 20 × 40;
  • - dowels "quick installation" 6 × 60;
  • - hammer drill;
  • - wood drill with a diameter of 6 mm;
  • - a victorious drill for a drill with a diameter of 6 mm;
  • - drill with a diameter of 3 mm;
  • - screws 3 × 35;
  • - a hacksaw for wood.

Instructions

Step 1

Fasten the wooden mounting strip to the wall vertically with the quick-fix dowels. To do this, first drill the holes in the mounting plate with a 6 mm drill. Drill holes 600 mm apart. Attach the plank to the wall. Through the drilled holes, punch holes in the wall 70 mm from the outer plane of the mounting plate with a hammer drill with a victorious drill.

Step 2

Punch one hole in the wall approximately in the middle of the mounting plate. Attach the quick-mount bracket to the wall at this location. Align the plank vertically. Secure it completely. Fasten the rest of the planks in the same way. Make the distance between them equal to 400 - 600 mm horizontally.

Step 3

Begin the installation of the timber imitation board from the lowest point of the wall. Lay the board horizontally with the groove facing up. Opposite the mounting strips, drill one hole in it with a 3 mm drill. Drill holes in the inner ledge of the groove at an angle of 25 - 30 degrees from the horizon with an inclination towards the board so that the screw being screwed presses the board from top to bottom. These holes will prevent the board from splitting during attachment.

Step 4

Press the board against the mounting plates and screw with 3 × 35 mm screws. Fasten the lowermost timber imitation board both from the upper part (in the groove) and from the lower part (at the spike). The lower screws will later be covered with a skirting board.

Step 5

Insert the groove of the next board into the tenon of the previous one. Drill a 3 mm hole in the inner lip of the groove. Attach the board to the mounting plate with one 3 × 35mm screw. Drill the rest of the holes in the board. Attach it completely with screws to the mounting plate. Sew up the entire wall in this way.

Step 6

Note! If all the walls of a room or room are sheathed with a board, install the board with horizontal "rings", sheathing with a board at a time the entire horizontal row along all the walls of the room in a circle. In this case, the joining of rows in the corners of the room will be ideal.
