Instructions

Step 1

Everything that remains in your apartment after repair or change of furniture can be safely taken to the country house and give things a second life. Old beds and sofas come in handy in the bedroom, which is a must-have in the village. Most of the time at the dacha is usually spent on the street, we return home mainly to sleep. So even if you only have one room in your house, make a bedroom out of it.

Step 2

If you have a wooden floor and log walls in your country house, you don't need to invent anything, make it a highlight of your interior. Lay a lot of different rugs in the room, it is better if they are knitted or sewn from patches - this way you will emphasize the beauty of your country house. Animal skins work well too. They can be purchased in the store and it is not at all necessary to buy natural furs - fabric imitations will look great. The skin can be made from an old fur coat that you have not needed for a long time. Just lay it out on the floor, cut out the desired shape and process the edges so that they do not crumble - a stylish summer cottage rug is ready.

Step 3

On holidays, guests often give souvenirs, paintings, vases, candles and other nice little things, for which sometimes there is not enough space in the apartment, and the hand does not rise to throw them away. Take them to the dacha. Make several shelves in the room and place all the figurines on them, separate paintings, tapestries and photo frames - in a rustic interior, all this will give a special comfort.

Step 4

Hang curtains and tulle on the windows. You can make curtains yourself from beautiful floral fabric. Cut out three rectangles: two for the curtains, one for the lambrequin. The pattern for the lambrequin must be made at least twice the width of the window in order to get beautiful folds. The curtains also need to be made one and a half times wider so that they are not taut when closed. Trim the edges of the fabric to keep the threads from fraying and make buttonholes for the curtain. Then cut two elastic bands each twenty centimeters long and two rectangles of floral fabric measuring five by thirty centimeters. Stretching the elastic, sew a strip of fabric to it, and then sew the ends. This will create a beautiful curtain ruffle. Hang them on the window and collect them with a frill at the level of the windowsill. Beautiful country-style curtains are ready, decorate all windows and doorways with them.

Step 5

Hang a beautiful woven lampshade around the room, or crochet it over a wire frame. Lay out various crocheted and embroidered napkins. Put a table in the room, it is good if it is round and cover it with a handmade tablecloth.

Step 6

Also decorate sofas and beds with different warm and fluffy throws or bedspreads made using patchwork technique. Lay out on them a lot of dummies, on which it will be pleasant to lie down to rest.

Step 7

If your house has a terrace or at least a spacious porch, make a summer kitchen there. Just put a table, chairs there and hang light tulle on the windows so as not to block the view from the window. A large samovar will be a great addition to the kitchen.

Step 8

If you have a Russian stove at home, it will become a wonderful element of the interior. Whitewash it, hang flower curtains, put patchwork quilts on top. If desired, attach a neat ladder to the side - so it will be convenient for you to climb onto the stove to relax and warm up on a cold rainy day.

Step 9

Old cast iron of various sizes and other antiques that you can find in the attic or in other utility rooms of your home will become beautiful and functional elements of the interior.
