Step 1

To register a land plot, apply to your local municipality. To register ownership of land, you will need to issue a cadastral passport and put the site on cadastral records. You will do all this at your own expense.

Step 2

Contact the center for unified land registration, cadastre and cartography. Fill out the application form for calling a cadastral engineer. You will be put on a queue and told the date of arrival of a specialist. The queue can stretch for 6 months or more, since there are very few of these specialists, and all licensed firms no longer have the right to carry out land surveying and draw up technical documents for registering a site on cadastral registration.

Step 3

After the specified period, an engineer will come to you, conduct a land survey, topographic survey of the area, draw up a plan. After the work done, you will receive all the technical papers, with which you again contact the center for unified land registration. Your site will be put on cadastral registration, a cadastral passport will be issued. Take an extract from the cadastral passport, a copy of the cadastral plan, make photocopies of the extracts received and submit them to the local administration.

Step 4

Based on the decree of the head of the district administration, you will be able to register ownership of the site. It can be transferred free of charge if you have never registered a land plot from a lease into ownership or sold for cadastral value. If the plot is transferred to you for a fee, then before registering property rights, pay the amount specified in the resolution and submit a copy of the receipt to the administration.

Step 5

With the decree, receipt, with an extract from the cadastral passport and a copy of the cadastral plan, contact the Federal Office of the State Registration Center. Write an application, submit documents. After 30 days, you will receive a certificate of ownership of the land.
